How 2020 Mahindra Thar AX is different from LX Trim?
Interior and exterior
The difference between interior and exterior is not so big between AX and LX trim. In AX trim you will get a soft top as a standard but you have to option to choose hardtop or convertible and in the exterior customers will get 16″ steel wheel with single tone bumper. Moving towards the interior customer will get 6 seater configuration as standard with the option of two front-facing or inward-facing rear bench.
On the other hand in the LX variant, you will not get a soft top. You have an option to choose between a hardtop or convertible soft top. The company provides here 18″ alloy wheels with dual-tone bumpers.
Features
In terms of features, Thar lovers will not disappoint. The company has loaded plenty of features in this car. In AX variant Mahindra provides dual front airbag, ABS, EBD, central locking and rear parking sensors. Manual dimming IRVM, manual AC, power window, rear defogger.
In the LX variant, you will get extra features like tire pressure and tire monitoring system, hill hold assist, hill descent control, speed-sensing door lock, follow me home headlamps, climate control, cruise control.
Engine and Transmission
The 2020 Mahindra Thar is available with the New M Stallion 150 TGDI Gasoline engine and M Hawk 130 Diesel Engine.
The New 2.0-litre M Stallion 150 TGDI Gasoline engine is able to produce 112 KW of Power with the Peak torque of 320 Nm whereas the 2.2-litre M Hawk 130 diesel Engine produces 97 KW of Maximum Power and Peak torque of 300 Nm. Both the Engine have DOHC 16 Valves
In AX Variant you have both petrol and diesel engine paired with 6-speed manual gearbox. But in LX Trim you have an option of the 6-speed manual as well as 6 speed automatic.
