Tata Nexon EV became best selling E-vehicle in Aug 2020
Nexon beats Hyundai Kona and MG ZS IN AUG 2020 sales
Now the world is heading towards Electric vehicles to reduce the emission produced by the combustion engine. Recently Tata has introduced its e vehicle Tata Nexon EV in the Indian market and rolls out its 1000 units from the pure manufacturing line. Nexon EV has the same design as Nexon that is powered by petrol and diesel engine.
The price range difference in both EV and IC engine Nexon is not so big. Ev costs 1.2 lakhs more than the regular Nexon. The car costs 13.99 lakhs for the base variant and 14.99, 15.99 lakhs for XZ plus and XZ plus LUX variants
The sales figure of Nexon EV is not so big but it still shows the success of the product in the local market. And also the trust of consumers on the Tata product. Tata records 296 units of Nexon EV in Aug 2020. On the other hand, MG sold only 119 units and Hyundai sold only 26 units. Even the Hyundai Kona is a globally known product. The sales graph of Nexon EV is continuously increasing.
Tata claims the driving range if Nexon EV is 312 Km in a single charge. The vehicle is powered by a 3 phase permanent magnet synchronous motor, That is able to deliver the max. Power of 130.7 bhp and max torque of 245 Nm. Tata provides a DC fast charging facility by which the car gets charged 0-80% in just less than an hour.
