Honda Shuts 23 years old Greater Noida Plant

The Noida based Honda Plant was started back in 1997
Honda has announced that the company is going to shut down its car plant situated at Greater Noida. This is one of the oldest plants in India started in 1997. The unit has the capability of producing 1 lakh vehicles in a year. Japan-based Car manufacturer Honda Cars has decided because of low performance in the Indian market.
The company is going through a tough time in the market. Now Honda has decided to continue production from the Alwar based plant only. This plant has the capability of producing 1.8 Lakh units in a year. Honda officials said that the reason behind this shut down and low sales are the slow response from the company End to the customer’s needs. Honda will continue with R&D, HR, sales, marketing, servicing from the Noida location

In this car, the newly introduced 1.5-litre i-VTEC DOHC Petrol engine is used with Variable valve timing control. produces the power of 121 PS and 145 Nm of peak torque. The second engine is a 1.5-liter i-DTEC DOHC Diesel engine that produces the maximum power of 100 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque.
